CCSME Monthly Membership Committee

 

Criminal Justice Advisory Committee

The group functions as a forum for information sharing, knowledge dissemination, problem-solving, education, advocacy, planning and system change. The Committee's mission is to build local cross-system coordination, collaboration and communication between the Human Service and Criminal Justice systems, to improve service delivery to individuals with mental illness who are involved in the criminal justice system, as well as i mprove public safety by enhancing service delivery.

Goals:
  • To identify problems and solution of cross-system issues
  • To build partnerships and alliances among stakeholders
  • To expand resources available to law enforcement, corrections, legal community, and courts
  • To ensure service delivery to persons with mental illness involved in the criminal justice system
  • To develop cross-training opportunities
  • To increase communication and exchange of information across systems
  • To explore ways to create shared resources and shared planning
  • To build consensus around shared goals
  • To provide education regarding mental health and substance abuse needs in the community and how these needs are perceived by all

Service Review Team

 

Training/Staff Development Committee

To support community cross-training activities and training programs on co-occurring disorders disorder treatment through collaborative activities. Our goals include:
  • To develop a multi-agency/multi-discipline staff development team
  • To plan and deliver training on dual disorders
  • To develop a content based curriculum on dual disorders
  • To assess community wide training needs and coordinate training plans
