Bio | Penthea Burns, MSW

Penthea Burns is a non-Native woman who grew up in Central Maine, has worked at the Muskie School of Public Service since 1999. Penthea has co-created a statewide Indian Child Welfare Workgroup, the Maine Wabanaki-State Child Welfare Truth and Reconciliation Commission, Maine-Wabanaki REACH, the Youth Leadership Advisory Team, and Camp to Belong Maine. She currently works on the Child Welfare Capacity Building Center for Tribes and serves REACH as the Co-Chair on the Board of Director and the Fundraising Development Committee.
