Tonya Bailey-Curry is a Licensed Social Worker with Bates College Counseling and Psychological Center. Prior to her role with Bates College, Tonya served as the Director of Peer and Family Programs with NAMI Maine serving individuals and families impacted by mental health challenges across the state. With NAMI Maine, Tonya provided education, training, and support to individuals, families, organizations, policy makers, and law enforcement personnel. These roles, fulfilled through a social justice and racial equity lens, have given Tonya a rich and diverse experience working with individuals and groups. She graduated from the University of Southern Maine with an MSW in 2017. Tonya’s pronouns are she, her, and hers.
