This one day training for Advance Motivational Interviewing in Groups, which has a prerequisite of at least four hours of Motivational Interviewing training, will delve further into this evidence-based approach for the use of Motivational Interviewing in group work. It will provide participants with an opportunity to explore creative ways of integrating this approach into an effective therapeutic intervention for groups. This course explores the roles of the group leader and the participants in various types of group settings and will cover the importance of therapeutic contracts, goal setting, group norms, and group frequency, duration, course, and process.
