Acupuncture: A Complementary Support for Co-Occurring Conditions

Did you know, among the many benefits of acupuncture, it aids in behavioral health treatment and recovery? A newly passed law in Maine (LD 1105 – H.P. 809) allows its use in addiction and co-occurring programs by an identified list of professionals. An acupuncturist, trained in trauma resolution therapy and body-centered psychotherapy, will present on how ear acupuncture may help with symptoms of mental health and substance use disorders, leading to greater levels of resiliency.
