Mind body connections are a key component of patient centered care delivery, need not be expensive or time consuming and work to empower both the provider and the client/patient to move toward improved self care at whatever the level of individual need. This work helps us bridge behavioral health, substance use disorder and primary care gaps. As we look to further advance practice integration, understanding and aligning these connections becomes paramount. We will explore the path from current brain science to evidence based practice and offer actual, simple tools and techniques that can be used anywhere with a focus on improving sleep, anxiety, stress, pain, and chronic disease. Some experiential work can be done in chairs.
