Mood Disorders and Depression: How to Diagnose and Treat

CCSME Half-Day Psychopharmacology Series | This course in our series will focus on understanding the diagnosis (dimensional versus categorical) and treatment of mood disorders and depression. After understanding how mood disorders present, we will undertake an exploration of possible underlying causes. A review of treatments, including medication, psychotherapy, and somatic (ECT, r-TMS, DBS) will be presented. Cases will be discussed to help guide us through the above topics.
