During these times of the COVID-19 pandemic, anxieties can be heightened and worsen the symptoms of Obsessive Compulsive Disorders. Dr. Barkin will review the diagnosis and the underlying neuroanatomy and then will discuss the medication treatments as well as role of psychotherapy, including exposure based CBT.

Objectives:

Review the diagnosis and symptoms of OCD

Explore neurobiological models of understanding OCD

Discuss medication and non-medication based treatments.
