This training meets the Domain 1 competencies required for obtaining Maine’s Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician/Community (MHRT/C) certification. Domain 1 is one of three priority domains required to earn Provisional MHRT/C certification. The content covers how to establish rapport, communicate effectively and respectfully, and work collaboratively with consumers regarding their care to support recovery, with awareness of changing needs across the lifespan.
The Maine Office of Behavioral Health authorizes the curriculum and approves the trainers. If you have a human services-related degree, you are required to complete Units 1–4. Without such a degree, you must complete all Units 1-5. Active participation in all sessions over the Zoom platform with the use of video camera is required. The course may include outside homework.
